Olympia High School

The Olympia Speech Team has been competing virtually since November. There have been 8 tournaments since then and each week they continue to bring home medals after putting in hours of practice and recording videos to submit for competition, something so different from what the varsity members have done in the past. They have all embraced this special speech season and they are currently getting ready for the IHSA Regional Tournament. There are students competing in all 14 individual events and they are putting together a PIR. While PIR is usually a group of students acting in a circle, surrounded by the audience, this year things look a little bit different. All of the students will be performing in Zoom boxes, a format that the world has become more and more familiar with as of late.
