What a day for Olympia Volleyball!
Yesterday our Varsity team battled their way through a full day of competition at the Knight Invitational hosted by Fieldcrest High School — and came out CHAMPIONS! The girls worked so hard to earn their spot in the championship match and finished strong to bring home the title.
A couple highlights from the day:
Myra Books went on an incredible 11-point service run in the semifinal match!
Abigail Goodman recorded her first-ever kill while stepping into the front row!
The entire team showed unmatched hustle and grit, never letting a ball hit the floor without a fight.
We are beyond proud of the fight, energy, and teamwork shown by every single player. A big thank you as well to our amazing parents and fans who stuck with us and cheered loud during a long day of volleyball — your support means the world!

Another busy and exciting week for the Olympia Transition Program! 🎉 Our students volunteered at the Hopedale Food Pantry, baked and decorated cookies for OTP Sweets & Treats, prepared Bloodborne Pathogen kits for OHS staff, and sold our cookies with pride. We also enjoyed a lunch outing to Culver’s and wrapped up the week with a fun trip to the Children’s Discovery Museum. Every experience gave us the chance to learn, explore, and grow our skills! 🌟

Yesterday our 1st Pathway Day focusing on college and career was a success! Students chose sessions to attend based on their post high school plans. Thank you to 15 local colleges, trade schools, military recruiters, and BCA for attending!

Freshman kicked things off with a win, 21-16, 21-9! JV battled hard in three sets, finishing 25-20, 18-25, 10-15. And Varsity finished the night strong with a big win! Proud of all our teams and grateful for the incredible support from our Oly community! #SpartanPride

The JV Boys golf team had their final tournament yesterday at Woodlawn Country Club in the Blue Ridge JV Invite. Leading the way for the team was Mason Kruger who shot a 44 and earned 8th overall in the tournament. Next up was Cooper Otto who shot a 49 followed by Owen Knuffman at a 59 and Calvin Fonger at a 66. Good Job Boys!
The Varsity Boys are back in action Monday in the Sangamo Conference Meet.

Elementary students attending an OHS event need to be accompanied by an adult. If an elementary student shows up without an adult, they will not be allowed to enter into the game / event. We are asking elementary students to sit in the stands during the games due to the safety concerns that have already surfaced during our first home game. Thank you to our parents for understanding we are striving to create a safe experience for all our spectators. Go Spartans!

🌾🐴 The Olympia Transition Program had an amazing day at Blue Ridge Community Farm! This incredible nonprofit is designed specifically for individuals with special needs, and it gave our students a day full of learning and joy. We met the sweetest farm friends: 10 alpacas, 4 donkeys, a horse, chickens, and even two golden retrievers! 🐓🐕 Students also enjoyed a music therapy session, learned about the crops grown on the farm, and finished the day with a picnic together. We are so grateful to Blue Ridge Community Farm for creating such meaningful opportunities for our students. 💙

We had beautiful weather, strong competition, and the chance to honor our two seniors—CJ Moore and Paul Yeary—at last night’s home meet!
The Oly course is a tough one, but our athletes rose to the challenge with several course personal records for this season. Some runners even shaved off minutes compared to last Tuesday’s home meet!
New Course PRs: Leah (28:00) Chloe (28:44) Natalie (24:07) CJ (18:21) Graham (19:44) Ty (18:15) Asher (21:03) Jasper (23:45)
This year’s team is young, but the progress they are making every single meet is incredible. Their hard work is paying off, and big things are ahead for these athletes!
