**NOTE** In July 2025, we are transitioning to the newly updated version of Skyward called Qmlativ. This will change the look of Online Registration, but it will still operate in the same way. One huge benefit of Qmlativ is that you can now complete registration on the Skyward mobile app! This page will be updated before registration begins (~July 16, 2025).

Thank you for being a part of the Spartan family! This page will help walk you through the Online Registration (OLR) process using our main district information system, Skyward. Below you will find the content laid out in a Frequently Asked Question format. If you have further questions, please contact Ami Lawson at the district office (309) 379-6011 ext.1127.

FAQ

"Where do I go to register my child for school?"

First, you should go to the school building that your child will be attending and speak with the school secretary. They will provide you with your Skyward Family Access account which is needed to continue the online registration process. You can view our District Map if you are not sure which elementary school your child will attend.

Online registration (OLR) can be found in Skyward Family Access. Here is a link to that location; LINK. If you do not know your username and/or password, first try the "Forgot you Login/Password" tool found on that site and enter the email address that you provided to your school's secretary. If you are still unable to login, you can contact your school secretary or the district office (309-379-6011 x1127) for your information.

Once logged in, you will find a registration tab along the left side of your screen. When you click on the Online Registration button, you will see some instructions, as well as a link to register your child. If you have more than one child at Olympia, you will see a separate link for each child.

Once logged in, you will find a tile called "Online Registration" on your Family Access home screen. When you click on this tile, you will start the OLR process for your child. If you have multiple children, there will be a seperate tile for each child.

Yes! The process is quite simple really. As you fill in the information for each step of registration, click the "Complete Step X Only" button on the bottom of the screen to finalize your responses. You then click on the "Next Step" button and move to the next step.

Qmlativ: 2025 "Can You Walk Me Through The Registration Process?"

Yes! The process is quite simple really. You will begin by reading the welcome information and clicking the green "Start >" button at the top of the page. This puts your registration into an "In Progress" status. You can exit and return to your registration anytime by going back to the tile on your home screen.

As you fill in the information for each step of registration, click the green "Complete & Next" button at the top of the screen to save your responses and move to the next step. You can also move to previous steps if desired

Read carefully (including the extra information at the top of each step) and respond to ALL of the relevant menus and check-boxes with accurate information. This information will be imported into our student database.

Below you will see information that needs to be read (BLUE) and areas that need to be completed (RED).

There are multiple screens where an electronic signature is needed. Most of these screens also have a checkbox above the "Terms of Agreement" that also needs to be checked in order for that data to be imported into the student's profile.

"What Is the Emergency Information Section, and When Do I Check That Box?"

This section in online registration will be used to provide all district staff with critical information regarding your student. While this is not a required field, if your student has critical information to be shared, it is valuable information for the district to have. If your student does not have any critical information to be shared, please leave this area blank. Critical information is any critical/emergent information that may be beneficial for Olympia staff to know.

"Can I Pause Registration and Come Back Later?"

Yes! If necessary, you may leave the registration screen and complete registration later. Click the "Close and Finish Later" button at the bottom right of the registration screen, under all of the steps.

Yes! If necessary, you may leave the registration screen and complete registration later. Your registration will be put into an "In Progress" status. You can exit and return to your registration anytime by going back to the tile on your home screen.

"How Do Student Fees Work?"

The last step of the registration process has you review the fees that are current attached to your student.

You do not need to make any payments to complete the registration process!

Fees need to be paid by October. If you do wish to pay fees during registration, look for a link to eFunds for Schools once you click on the View Student Fees link.

Student Fees are now a Post Registration Activity and you can read more about it in the appropriate section at the bottom of this webpage.

You do not need to make any payments to complete the registration process!

"How Do I Submit Online Registration?"

Make sure that you have green checkmarks next to each of the steps on the right side of the screen, then click on the "Submit Online Registration" button. If you do not see the button, check to see which step does not have the green check mark. You can click on that step to go directly to it and finalize it. Then come back to the final step to submit your online registration.

The last step of registration is the Review screen. Make sure that you have checkmarks next to each of the steps on the left side of the screen, scroll through the information and confirm its accuracy, click the confirmation box at the bottom of the screen, and finally click on the green "Submit Form" button.

If there are any uncompleted steps, or you do not click on the confirmation box, you will receive an error. You will have to rectify the error before you are able to submit your online registration form.

"How Do I Update Information After Online Registration?"

Please contact your child’s school if there are any changes to the information that you have entered in Online Registration once the school year begins. That is the best way to ensure that all relevant parties are notified.
