Happy Administrative Professionals Day!

Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans defeated JV New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly Pretzels 9-0 on Wednesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Kam White and Ty Gale each pitched for Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans in the game. Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans got on the board in the top of the first inning after Ethan Labelle singled to center field, White singled to right field, and Cayson Reed doubled to center field, each scoring one run. Happy Administrative Assistant Day to Christina Schulz! Today we celebrate someone who truly keeps Olympia Middle School running day to day. She is so much more than an administrative assistant. She’s the steady presence in our office, the warm welcome for every student, family, and staff member who walks through our doors, and the person who somehow keeps everything moving when things get crazy. She has the heart of a servant in the best possible way. The culture of our school is better because of her. We are incredibly lucky to have Christina as part of our Olympia family. Thank you for everything you do, today and every day.

Varsity baseball gets a conference win in Riverton tonight 13-2. Pierce(3RBI) and Sloan(HR, 5RBI) with three hits apiece. Springer with two hits. Walker(2RBI), Wilson(RBI), Berlin, Tackett, LaBelle and Olson with a hit apiece. LaBelle(5IP, 0ER). Spartans are at Auburn Thursday.

JVBB vs Tri Valley drops a tough one. Even though Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans collected five hits to Tri-Valley's four, they still fell 7-5 on Tuesday. Rhett Alexander led Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans with two hits. Brody Stork started the game giving up 1 hit and 3 runs only 1 was earned in 3 innings. Kam White and Nolan Birkey also pitched well giving up no earned runs. JVBB vs Normal West lost 4-1. Ty Gale stepped on the bump first for Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans. The starter allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking one. Cayson Reed led Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans with one run batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Today's Activities

Varsity softball went 1-1 in non-conference play on Thursday and Friday. On Thursday, the Lady Spartans rally fell short at Rochester, losing to the Rockets 4-7. On Friday, the Spartans traveled to Eureka with a bounced back victory over the Hornets 4-1, improving their overall record to 14-5.

JV Softball with three games this week, all on the road. The JV Spartans dropped a 1-10 decision at Williamsville, defeated Rochester 11-0, and finished with a 5-0 win at Eureka.

Varsity baseball couldn't overcome 7 errors at East Peoria and fell 14-4. Wilson, Berlin, Springer and Tackett with a hit apiece. Spartans will be at Riverton Tuesday at 4:30.

JVBB drops one to Dunlap at home tonight. The eagles had 7 hits and 2 errors while the Spartans had 1 double by Kam White for the lone Spartan hit. The Spartans committed 3 errors on the night.

Nolan Birky’s Clutch Hitting Propels Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans To Victory Over Havana 21-7. TY Gale earned the win for Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans. The starter surrendered three hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking none. Maness and Labelle each appeared in relief for Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans. Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans amassed 18 hits in the game. Birky and White were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected four hits for Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans while hitting back-to-back. Varsity Lady Spartans Soccer gets a hard fought gritty tie 3-3 tonight against a very physical IVC team. Girls fought and did not give up, all three goals coming off the foot of Junior Elyse Eimer. Senior Anna Johnson with another great performance in goal racking up 15 saves. Girls return to action on Monday as they travel to Athens.

Varsity baseball gets a 15-0 win tonight vs Illini Central. Wilson and Olson(4RBI, 2B, 3B) with two hits apiece. Berlin, Sloan and Phares with a hit apiece. Wilson (4IP, 9K). Spartans are back on the road tomorrow vs East Peoria at the Eastside Center at 4:30.
