Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans Defeat Washington Panthers SOPHS 10-7 On Multiple Hit Performance By Ty Gale. Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans captured the lead, 4-1, in the top of the second when Gale singled, scoring one run, Rhett Alexander doubled, scoring two runs, and Ethan Labelle singled, scoring one run. Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans tallied 16 hits in the game. Colby Maness, Labelle, and Gale each collected three hits for Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans. Long and Alexander each collected multiple hits for Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans. Nolan Birky pitched four and one-third innings in relief for Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans. The right-handed pitcher gave up six hits and four runs (three earned) while, striking out two and walking three. Labelle started the game for Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans. The hurler allowed two hits and three runs (one earned) over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Kam White closed the game coming in w/runners in 1st&2nd 1 out in the 7th and got a pop up and strikeout to end the game. Varsity baseball grabbed a 5-3 lead in the 5th but couldn't hold on and fell 13-6 at Porta. Walker, Sloan(2RBI), Tackett(RBI) and Salvator with two hits apiece. Wilson, Pierce, and Hemphill with a hit apiece. Spartans are home Monday vs Rochester at 4:30.

Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans lost to Deer Creek-Mackinaw Junior Varsity Chiefs 10-7 on Thursday. Nolan Birky drove the middle of the lineup, leading Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-5 on the day. Colby Maness led the team with two hits in four at-bats. Ethan Labelle , Cason Reed, and August Long each had an rbi.

OHS students experienced A Black Hawk helicopter landing on our soccer field today thanks to The National Guard and our own Nathan Schultz, who currently serves with the unit. Students were able to observe the landing and access the helicopter.

Olympia Freshman Spartans defeated Lincoln Freshman Railsplitters 18-2 on Wednesday thanks in part to 12 runs in the fourth inning. Hemphill stepped on the hill first for Olympia Freshman Spartans. The starter gave up two hits and two runs over three and one-third innings, Stork threw one and two-thirds innings of scoreless ball for Olympia Freshman Spartans in relief. The hurler gave up two hits, striking out three and walking three. Cason Reed had 2 hits &3rbis, while Gale,Stork, Maness, Birkey,White, Fonger, Long, & Hemphill all had 1 hit a piece. Girls Soccer game today vs. Peoria Christian at Eastside Center has been postponed to April 29th. JV Baseball at Maroa Forysth has been cancelled with no make up date. Coaches will communicate about practices.

Fresh/Soph BB defeated East Peoria's freshman baseball team today 12-8. Colten Hemphill threw 4 innings to start the game giving up only 1 hit and 3 runs, 2 were earned. Brody Stork, Kam White, and Colten Hemphill powered the offense with 3 hits each. Stork had 4 RBI's and White had 3 RBI's.
