The OMS Boys Basketball team defended home court tonight from the Parkside Pythons. The 7th grade team stayed in control all game winning 43-29. Ben Britt and Luke Milligan led the team in scoring with 9 points apiece followed by Isaiah Gaither, Keaton White, and Reece Peifer each with 5 points apiece. The 8th grade team dominated from start to finish winning 50-21 and helping Coach Ruppert secure his 100th win in his coaching career! The leading scorers from the game were Will Langley (15 points), Cade Yoder (11 points), and Sawyer Anderson (8 points). The boys are back in action Thursday at Metcalf. The middle school wrestling team wrestled three duals tonight. We won all three, beating Chiddix 62-42, Parkside 63-36, and Pontiac 56-36. The kids wrestled great tonight, with only a week of practice, they showed how much they’ve already learned. We still have a lot to work on, excited to get back to work tomorrow.

The Olympia boys wrestling team had a successful day at the Civic Memorial Invitational, placing 3rd as a team, 2 individual champions, and several placers.

The OMS Boys Basketball Teams traveled today to Maroa-Forsythe to take on the Trojans.
The 7th grade won a close one 41-36 with Luke Millligan (17 points) and Isaiah Gaither (9 points) leading their squad in scoring.
The 8th grade team got out to a lead early and didn't look back winning 48-36. Cade Yoder (18 points) and Tate Lindsey (10 points) led their team in scoring.

Olympia High School proudly presents the 35th annual Madrigal Dinners on Friday, December 12th at 7 pm; Saturday, December 13th at 7 pm; and Sunday, December 14th at 2 pm at Castle Olympia (formerly Olympia Middle School Gymnasium). We ask that all patrons still enter through the high school activity entrance (Gym) doors for the dinners.
We invite you to Castle Olympia to join us for this festive celebration! Our feaste includes your choice of grilled chicken breast or vegetarian lasagna, served with southern-style green beans, mashed potatoes, a dinner roll with butter, and Simply Sweet Cakes cupcakes.
The Olympia Chamber Choir, Court Singers, Brass, Woodwinds, Percussion, Masque, and 8th Grade Chorus will all perform in this seasonal celebration, directed by Aubrey Zega. Masque directed by Eric Hansen and band directed by Kevin Greene. Over 130 OHMS students are involved in this year’s show!

Isaiah Gaither led the team in scoring with 11 points, followed by Ben Britt, Reece Peifer, and Luke Milligan each scoring 4 points. The 8th grade team dominated from start to finish winning 42 - 14. Easton Boudeman led the team with 13 points followed by Cade Yoder with 10 points.

Olympia Middle School staff brought outstanding energy to the 4th Annual Staff Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt today. All 10 turkeys were finally tracked down… five sporting Mr. Jones’ face and five proudly featuring Mrs. Miller. As we head into break, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the incredible students who make OMS such a remarkable place. We are truly thankful beyond measure for this community.

Last night the High School Wrestling team had their first meet of the season at Peoria Notre Dame High School. We had some great competition and start the season 2-0 as a team!

The OMS Boys Basketball teams competed last night at home against Midwest Central. The 7th Grade team got the win 46-10. Isaiah Gaither led the team in scoring (10 points), followed by Luke Milligan and Jackson Behrens both with 8 points.
The 8th grade team lost a tough one 37-48 with Will Langley (19 points) and Cade Yoder (8 points) leading their team in scoring.
