The Varsity Wrestling team competed at the Illini Bluffs Tournament today and came home with a team 1st Place, as well as many individual tournament champions/placers. It was a great start to the season. And, congrats to Mya Downs for placing 3rd at the NCHS Girls Tournament!

Olympia Middle School was buzzing with excitement this afternoon as students took a break from their regular academic schedule to participate in a wide array of extracurricular clubs during their advisory time. This time allows students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and forge stronger bonds with their peers and teachers.
With a diverse selection of clubs, there's something for everyone at OMS! Students can choose from options like:
Yoga Club: Find inner peace and improve flexibility.
Chess Club: Sharpen strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Olympia Middle School students got a special surprise this morning as they arrived for their last day of school before Thanksgiving break! Sparty the Spartan, Olympia's beloved mascot, was on hand to greet students with high-fives, smiles, and plenty of Spartan spirit.
Sparty's positive energy and enthusiasm brought smiles to everyone's faces and created a sense of community and excitement for the upcoming holiday.
Sparty's appearance was a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season and spread some extra cheer throughout the halls of Olympia Middle School. A big thank you to Sparty for making this a Thanksgiving to remember!

The OMS Boys Basketball team traveled to El Paso last night to take on the Titans. The 7th grade team won 35-20 with everyone on the team contributed to scoring! The 8th grade team won 34-31 with Ty Gale (21 points!), Coty Thompson, and Kam white leading the scoring. The Spartans are back in action Tuesday at Home against the Hornets at 5.

The MS Boys Basketball team defended home court tonight against Normal Chiddix. The 7th grade team won a hard fought battle 42-28 with Will Langley, Cade Yoder, and Easton Boudeman leading the way offensively.
The 8th grade team lost a battle in OT 42-36 with Ty Gale, Kam White, Mason Kruger, and Coty Thompson leading the offense tonight.
The Spartans are back in action Thursday at El Paso; tip off at 5:30. Go Spartans!
